Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave charged with attempted murder in Irving Plaza shooting


Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave has been formally charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the fatal shooting at T.I.’s show at New York’s Irving Plaza last week. 


Arriving in a wheelchair, the rapper born Roland Collins appeared in a Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday and asked for $50,000 bail, but a judge denied his request, according to The New York Times. He is being held without bail. 


Troy Ave was one of four people shot. One of the wounded, Collins’ bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter, died from his injuries. Read more…
